Guy Eugene – Managing Partner – China FundGuy Eugene has over 25 years’ experience in structuring, managing and raising private equity funds internationally. He started his career with Motorola Communications, and served as CFO of the French subsidiary. In 1983, he founded Alpha Associés, the leading later stage and buyout investment firm headquartered in Paris, with Advent International, Lazard Frères , and CGIP (now Wendel Investissements) as sponsors of the group. In 1990, he started his own investment services firm, advising leading private equity groups in Europe on cross-border transactions. He went on to structure, raise, and manage the Lazard Vietnam Fund, a country fund dedicated to Vietnam-based growth opportunities, based in Ho Chi Minh City. This was accomplished with the sponsorship of Lazard Frères. During the past ten years, Mr. Eugene has helped fund managers structure and raise private equity partnerships. He served as a Partner for two leading private equity placement agents in the United States. In this capacity, he was actively involved in the placement of a number of US, European, and Asian-based funds before he formed Legacy Finance in 2004. Mr. Eugene is a Wharton MBA (1978), with full scholarship from the French Government, and holds a Master of Engineering from Ecole Centrale (1975). He also served in the French Air Force.
